Desperate Hillary Race-Baits over Officer-Involved Shootings: 'This Has Got to End'
On Tuesday evening, Hillary Clinton, desperate to rally black Americans to the polls and lagging far behind President Obama’s turnout models, turned to Twitter to personally issue a clarion call for racial justice:
This is pandering of the highest order. It’s also disgusting, for two reasons: first, there is no evidence that either shooting was racially-based; second, the Scott shooting may well have been justified, given that the police say Scott emerged from his vehicle wielding a gun and posing an “imminent threat” to officers. So apparently Hillary thinks the cops have a duty to stand by and be shot so long as the suspect is black.
Just days ago, Hillary Clinton ripped Donald Trump for calling a bombing a bombing in New York City before full information had emerged. Now she’s calling shootings by police officers racist and unjustified without full information.
But that insipid tweet was not Hillary’s only ridiculous racial reach of the day. Yesterday, she said onThe Steve Harvey Morning Show, “This horrible shooting again. How many times do we have to see this in our country? In Tulsa, an unarmed man with his hands in the air? I mean, this is just unbearable, and it needs to be intolerable.”
Of course, the shooting was intolerable enough to spur a full-scale investigation – and so far, that investigation found PCP in Terence Crutcher’s vehicle, and tape seems to show him lowering his hands at the last minute before he is shot. That doesn’t mean the shooting was justified; other officers tased him. But Hillary doesn’t wait for the facts, or even acknowledge the fact that the police department is investigating the facts.
She concluded, “Maybe I can, by speaking directly to white people, say, look, this is now who we are. We’ve got to do everything possible to improve policing, to go right at implicit bias.”
This is racist garbage. White people don’t want to see black innocents shot. That accusation is absurd, and Hillary appointing herself moral go-between for the white community is asinine. Her reference to implicit bias is another buzzword that means nothing: not a single study has demonstrated that implicit bias reliably informs behavior, or that it can be changed by any governmental program.
But none of this is about minimizing the shooting of black men, either by other black men (the vast majority of such shootings) or by police. It’s about Hillary race-baiting to drive up the black vote. Right now, she’s lagging Obama’s turnout numbers dramatically. She hopes that by stoking the racial flames, she can drive turnout up. It may work. But it will do so at the expense of safety and American unity.
Naturally, she doesn’t care.
